Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions regarding ARAS RADAR, global technology procurement, and regulatory frameworks.
Is this platform an e-commerce store? Can I purchase products here?
+
No. ARAS RADAR is strictly an independent technology intelligence and research portal, not a retailer, importer, or broker. All data provided are for research, consumer awareness, and educational purposes.
Why aren't these products officially sold in Turkey?
+
Key factors include: Medical device certification bottlenecks (TITCK CE-MDR), telecommunications spectrum licensing and cellular IMEI requirements, absence of localized Turkish voice models and edge data centers, and lack of authorized regional distributor partnerships.
How is the Import Difficulty Score (%0-100) calculated?
+
Our scoring algorithm evaluates the Harmonized System (HS/GTIP) tariff code, medical device class, dual-use export controls, lithium hazmat transport codes, and carrier lock statuses to formulate an index from 0 to 100.
Can I buy these devices abroad and bring them back in my luggage?
+
Under Turkish Customs Law Annex-9, travelers may bring 1 unit of personal electronic equipment duty-free as accompanied passenger baggage. Cellular devices require government IMEI registration fees within 120 days. Invasive medical implants and dual-use aerospace turbines remain strictly prohibited.
Does international warranty cover repairs in Turkey?
+
Generally no. Hardware not officially released in Turkey (such as Apple Vision Pro or Framework) lacks authorized parts and specialized calibration robots locally. Repairs require shipping back to the country of origin.
Can we utilize this radar data or API for academic research?
+
Yes. Our public search and telemetry API is open for educational, university, and non-commercial research with proper attribution.
I discovered a new frontier technology not yet tracked. How can I submit it?
+
Use the "Submit Innovation" form in our navigation header to submit the hardware title, maker, and launch URL. Our engineering analysts will evaluate and integrate it into the live radar.
